(Web Desk) – A nation-wide anti-polio drive began today (Monday) to administer vaccine to children under five years of age.

In Punjab, during the week-long campaign, more than 23 million children will be administered anti-polio drops. The health department has declared Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan the most sensitive cities.
In Sindh, nearly 10.03 million children up to five years of age will be administered vaccine. The drive will last a week.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than 7.4 million children will be administered anti-polio drops during five-day drive.
More than 700,000 children will be administered anti-polio drops in Azad Jammu and Kashmir while in Gilgit-Baltistan, over 250,000 children will be given drops during the five-day campaign.
In Balochistan, over 2.5 million children up to five years of age would be administered anti-polio drops during the week-long polio drive.
The health department has advised the parents to contact helpline 1166 in case a polio team does not visit any home.
