Five police officials martyred, 22 injured in Bajaur blast

According to police, injured were removed to Khar hospital where emergency has been declared
BAJAUR (Dunya News) – Five police officials were martyred and 22 sustained injuries in a blast near a police vehicle in Mamond Belot, area of Bajaur tehsil on Monday.
Rescue 1122 rushed the injured to Khar hospital where emergency has been declared.
Hospital sources expressed the fear the number of casualties might increase as the condition of two injured people was serious.
Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area and an operation has been started to search terrorists and their facilitators.
CONDEMNATION
Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (Retd) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah condemned the incident and expressed grief over the martyrdom of the policemen in the blast.
He directed to ensure provision of medical facility to the injured.
Meanwhile, Peoples Party (PPP) co-cahirman Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also expressed grief over the incident. They called the officials hero who were on duty to provide security to polio workers.
