ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) secretary Omar Hamid Khan has resigned from his post, it is learnt on Sunday.
The secretary cited “ill health” reason for his resignation, sources told Dunya News.
Secretary Khan tendered resignation a day ago which is with the chief election commissioner. The electoral body chief has not yet approved the resignation, they added.
They said that he remained hospitalised for six days and is now under treatment at home.
Omar Khan was posted ECP secretary in July 2021. A career bureaucrat, he has served as secretary of Ministry of National Food Security & Research, Ministry of Finance and Benazir Income Support Programme.
