Apex court judge says complaints against him are baseless
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi of the Supreme Court on Wednesday submitted his detailed reply to second show-cause notice issued to him by the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).
Justice Naqvi stated in his reply that complaints against him were baseless.
He adopted the stance that while the petitions were already being heard in open court, the SJC's proceedings were not justified.
The SJC had given a last chance to Justice Naqvi to submit his reply. The council will meet again on Jan 11 to hear complaints against Justice Naqvi.
It may be recalled that on Dec 15, the SJC had turned down Justice Naqvi's request to halt council's proceedings against him immediately.
