LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Lahore traffic police issued a traffic regulation plan for the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) public gathering at the Greater Iqbal Park today (Friday).

Former Prime Minister and head of the PMLN, Nawaz Sharif will address the gathering returning Pakistan from London after ending his four years self-exile.

The traffic advisory issued by the police reads that as many as 16 parking spots have been fixed for the partakers of this gathering where people from across the country are participating. The police have also allocated three drop lanes to cater to the needs of heavy/large vehicles.

Convoys coming from Gujrat, Gujranwala, Kamonki and Muridke will use the Eastern Bypass from Kala Shah Kaku, supporters coming from Sargodha, Faisalabad and the motorway will use the route via Saggian and Ring Road and motorcades coming from Okara, Sahiwal, and Multan will reach the venue through motorway Babu Sabu- Bandar Road- Niazi Shaheed Chowk.

Similarly, the PMLN followers hailing from Kasur, Kahana, Ferozepur and Mall Road will reach the park via Katchery Chowk and Data Darbar. The participants coming from Katchery Chowk would park their vehicles on Saggian Ring Road.

The normal traffic will remain closed between Sheranwala and Greater Iqbal Park section.

The traffic police will also use different methods like Rasta app, FM 88.6 and helpline 15 to keep updating commuters regarding the traffic situation in Lahore.

Meanwhile, the PML-N chief orgaziner Maryam Nawaz along with the former PM Shehbaz Sharif visited the venue and claimed that as many as 40,000 chairs have been placed for workers at the Greater Iqbal Park.
