ECP issues production order of PTI chief for indictment in contempt case

The ECP directed the IGPs of Punjab and Islamabad to make security arrangements for PTI chief
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday issued orders to produce Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, who is in Adiala Jail, in contempt case for indictment.
The ECP ordered to produce the former prime minister before its bench on October 24 at 10 am and directed the inspectors-general of Punjab and Islamabad to make security arrangements for him.
WARRANTS FOR FAWAD
Earlier, the four-member bench headed ECP Member Nisar Durrani issued bailable arrest warrant for former leader Fawad Chaudhry in the same case.
The bench also directed the Inspector General of Police Islamabad to produce Fawad before it at 10 am on October 24 for his indictment.
Meanwhile, a five-member bench headed by the Chief Election Commissioner will hear a petition seeking removal of former prime minister as PTI chairman following his conviction in the Toshakhana case, on October 26.
