Sanjrani links infrastructure development to foreign investment
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said infrastructure will be built in Pakistan only when investors invest in the country.
Sanjrani while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected officials of the Parliamentary Reporter Association (PRA) said that the media was free and it should do its work freely.
The Senate chairman said the media should highlight the positive face of Pakistan in front of the world, adding that Pakistan was a beautiful country which was blessed with almost everything.
About the promotion of tourism in Pakistan, Sanjrani said infrastructure development in Pakistan was linked to foreign investment.
Sanjrani further said the media could play a positive role in the development of Pakistan, addding that the current state of democracy in Pakistan was better than democracies in many countries of the world.
Problems arise in parliament when non-member journalists come. PRA should make regulations for coverage of the Parliament.
The Senate chairman said with the cooperation of Senate and PUPs, the parliamentary reporters would be given world-class training and thePRA will be provided with a better office in the parliament
Sanjrani also announced the parliamentary reporters would visit Balochistan.
