Criminal Law Amendment Bill 2023 approved
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Senate Standing Committee on Interior unanimously approved the Criminal Law Amendment Bill 2023.
Senator Mohsin Aziz presided over a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Interior. In the meeting, Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehra presented the Criminal Law Amendment Bill 2023 for approval, which was unanimously approved.
With the approval of the bill, it will be possible to treat sexual assault victims in a private hospital, and private hospitals will be obliged to provide first aid to the victims.
While debating the bill, Senator Mushtaq Ahmed said instead of life imprisonment and death penalty, public hanging should be carried out in front of all the prisoners in D-Chowk.
Upon this Senator Sherry Rahman said public executions will be brutal, even in the societies where such public executions have taken place, there has been no reduction in crime.
