Court orders production of PTI chairman in marriage case
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A district and sessions court on Monday ordered the authorities to produce the PTI chairman in ‘illegal’ marriage case on next hearing.
Civil Judge Qudratullah heard the illegal marriage case against the PTI chairman and his wife Bushra Bibi.
The assistant counsel of prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi appeared before the court while a letter of the superintendent of Attock jail was also received by the court.
In the letter, the superintendent expressed his inability of presenting the PTI chairman in the court.
During the hearing, the prosecutor filed a request seeking postponement of the hearing.
In the request, it was stated that the prosecutor could not appear in the court due to his busy schedule in the Supreme Court.
When the hearing resumed after the break, the PTI chairman 's lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat appeared before the court and pleaded for adjournment of the hearing, and sought another direction for the appearance of the PTI chairman in the court.
The judge while talking to the lawyer of the PTI chairman inquired, “what do you think it is necessary to produce chairman PTI in court”?
Later, the court adjourned the hearing till October 2 while ordering the production of the PTI chairman at the next hearing.
