NAB submits record of 118 references to accountability court
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The implementation of the Supreme Court's decision to invalidate the NAB amendments law has started as the bureau submitted the record in the accountability courts.
NAB has returned 118 references to ten accountability courts in Lahore.
The Ramzan Sugar Mills reference involving former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz has been reinstated, and the records of the Mills have been handed over to the accountability court.
Similarly, the reference in the Paragon Society case involving former minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique, as well as the reference related to illegal contracts of mineral reserves in Chiniot involving Speaker Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan and others, have been submitted to the accountability court.
The references in the Punjab Youth Festival case against former DG Sports Usman Anwar and former Vice Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran for illegal recruitment in Punjab University, have also been presented in the accountability courts.
