Sindh Assembly Speaker has accepted Zulfiqar Mirza resignation as member of the Assembly.

A notification in this regard has been issued. Speaker Nisar Khurro said that Zulfiqar Mirza, the former Sindh home minister, was out of country for a few days. The Secretariat received a letter written by Zulfiqar Mirza. His handwriting and signatures were verified. He wrote in the resignation that he took this decision after much thought.Sources said the resignation was personally handed over to Khurro by Mirza in a one-on-one meeting.Mirza has announced resignation at a news conference in which he had levelled severe charges against the MQM. Mirzas startling disclosures spurred a wave of allegations and counter-allegations on the political arena.The PPP had been dithering over his resignation until recently when the MQM rejoined the coalition government.
