China's vice premier will visit federal capital today
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The district administration of the federal capital on Sunday declared that all schools, colleges and workplaces will be closed on July 31 and August 1.
District Magistrate Irfan Nawaz Memon issued a statement stating that all public and private institutions, colleges, and universities will stay closed.
The decision was taken as Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng is arriving in Islamabad on a three-day visit here on Sunday (today) to attend a ceremony planned to mark a decade of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
The announcement also said that all private businesses, marketplaces, and stores, as well as all commercial banks, would remain closed.
Vice Premier Lifeng, who is also a Special Envoy for President Xi Jinping, will meet both the president and the prime minister while in Pakistan.
