Summary Valuables auctioned at throwaway prices in health department
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - The health department seems to have become a hub of corruption as motorcycles and mobile phones have been disposed of at throwaway prices.
A report of the auction held last month came to the surface and according to it, 23 vehicles worth millions of rupees were auctioned for only Rs2.7 million. As many as 263 mobile phones were auctioned at Rs418 per unit (Rs110,000) and 101 motorcycles were auctioned for Rs1.5 million only.
Worse still, the report says, the signatures of the committee members were incomplete, though the goods were handed over to the buyers.
