(Web Desk) - The Climate Data Processing Centre of the Meteorological Department on Monday forecasted that the first day of Muharram will be observed on Wednesday, July 19th.

The centre also foretold a high likelihood of sighting the Muharram moon on July 18th, which is the 29th of Zilhaj. The Climate Data Processing Centre further predicts that Ashur will occur on Friday, July 28th.

According to the weather office, the moon is expected to be born on July 17th. However, there may be cloud cover during the moon sighting, especially in most parts of the country. The sunset is expected to take place at 7:24 pm, followed by the moonset at 8:00 pm, as stated by the Climate Data Processing Centre.

In Karachi, at the time of sunset, the moon will be approximately 20 hours and 17 minutes old, according to the Climate Data Processing Centre. The moon sighting period for Muharram extends up to 46 minutes after sunset.
