Woman dead, five injured as roof collapses in Lahore's Kamahan

Rescue 1122 suspected the roof structure of a house weakened owing to rainwater
LAHORE (Web Desk) - An elderly woman was killed and five other family members suffered multiple injuries after the dilapidated roof of a house collapsed near Ashiyana Road in Kamahan on Monday.
Rescue 1122 said the incident took place apparently after rainwater weakened the roof structure made of wood and TR girder.
Neighbours alerted the Rescue 1122 ambulance service and also launched rescue activity themselves. Locals and rescuers managed to pull out six injured victims from the debris and shifted them to the Lahore General Hospital.
Hameeda, 70, wife of Naik, succumbed to her injuries. The injured have been identified as Hussaini Bibi, 70, Fiaz Ashraf, 17, Kanwal Ashraf, 20, Noureen Ashraf, 16, and Ali Ashraf, 12.
