ATC orders Qureshi, Asad Umar join investigation into May 9 incidents

The PTI vice chairman has already filed applications for interim bails in three cases

LAHORE (Dunya News) - PTI leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Asad Umar on Friday joined investigation into the May 9 violent incidents after an anti-terrorim court (ATC) in the provincial capital ordered them so.

ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmed heard the interim bail application of both Qureshi and Umar related to the May 9 incidents in which both persons appeared before the court.

SMQ, who is the PTI's vice chairman, has already filed applications for interim bails after the issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants in three cases.

The court extended the interim bails of both PTI leaders in connection with the May 9 incidents till July 21 and ordered  them to be the part of investigations.

Talking to reporters outside the court, Qureshi said that he had several meetings with the PTI chirman so avoid listening rumours [of any differences].

He said the PTI chief would meet the IMF delegation today and present his stance on [Pakistan-IMF relations], adding he [Qureshi] would also be present.
