Afzal Mahmood Butt appointed Gilgit-Baltistan IGP
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal government on Wednesday changed the Gilgit-Baltistan IGP following the disqualification of Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, Afzal Mahmood Butt, a grade 20 officer, has been appointed IGP replacing Dar Ali Khattak. Butt was serving in Punjab.
Meanwhile, Khalid Khurshid vacated the Chief Minister’s House and the Cabinet Division also took back the vehicle, security guard and protocol. Former ministers, parliamentary secretaries and advisers were ordered to return all official vehicles in a day.
