Chaudhry Adnan condemns May 9 mayhem

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) former MPA Chaudhry Adnan on Wednesday decided to contest elections as an independent candidate.

Addressing a press conference, Adnan condemned the events that transpired on May 9. "I told the PTI that the narrative of getting into a fight with the state institutions is putting the party on the back foot."

He emphasised the necessity of political unification, adding, "For the sake of the national integrity, all the political parties should be united."

Speaking about estranged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Adnan said, “Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is a close friend of my father. Chaudhry Nisar is of the view how can he support the PTI chairman as he stood against PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif for having tussle with state institutions".

"The politics of vandalism have been condemned by the people", Adnan maintained.
