KARACHI (Dunya News) – The election commission has announced an extension in the deadline for the submission of nomination papers for specific seats of all union councils in Sindh. Today, Wednesday, May 24, is now the last day for candidates to submit their nomination papers.
In a statement issued by the election commission, it was revealed that the time for submission of nomination papers was extended until 12pm tonight. Furthermore, political parties are also given the opportunity to submit their priority lists of candidates for certain seats to the returning officers before the deadline.
The decision to extend the deadline was made by the election commission in order to facilitate the general public and political parties. The spokesperson of the commission emphasised the importance of ensuring convenience for all stakeholders involved in the electoral process.
All candidates and political parties are urged to adhere to the extended deadline and ensure timely submission of the required nomination papers and priority lists.
