Javed Latif demands an apology from institutions before holding elections

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Mian Javed Latif on Thursday demanded an apology for Nawaz Sharif before holding elections and questioned who would bring the institutions that idolised Imran Khan to their level again.

Speaking at the National Assembly session, Mr Latif expressed happiness on Shehbaz Sharif receiving the vote of confidence and insisted that until those who facilitated Imran Khan were brought to justice, the matter would not be resolved.

He further questioned the claim of neutrality by institutions after Imran project failed and added that facilitation of Imran Khan was still happening.

Mr Latif also raised questions about the implementation of the constitution and law in 2017 and stated that legal decisions were discussed around the world.

Mr Latif expressed concern over the exclusion of Nawaz Sharif from elections three times and stated that PML-N would not let it happen again.

He further raised questions about intelligence agencies' knowledge of planning until 2035 and why the Supreme Court did not take notice of programs of journalists being banned.

Moreover, he mentioned that the sacrifices made by the elders were not fruitful until those who facilitated Imran Khan were brought to justice.

He emphasised that the institutions that idolised Imran Khan needed to be brought to their level again before calling for elections. He also mentioned that if the law of the Parliament house was not followed, it was an insult of Parliament.

PML-N leader raised questions about the rewriting of 63A in Punjab and stated that if the parliament had stood at that time, no one would have dared to rewrite the constitution. He added that General (Rtd) Faiz was still alive and accused him of facilitating Imran Khan.
