Mohsin Naqvi visits Aafiat old age home on Eid

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited "Aafiat Old Age Home", an institution established for elderly in Social Welfare Complex Township and distributed Eid gifts among them.
Mohsin Naqvi visited the Old Age Home to comfort the elderly, spent time with them and cheered them on Eid while presenting gifts.
Mohsin Naqvi went to the rooms of all the elderly living in Aafiat and met them individually while inquiring about the facilities provided in the old age home.
The elderly expressed their satisfaction over the quality of food and other facilities in Aafiat saying the facilities here cannot be described in words, but unfortunately their blood relations have turned backs towards them and now the outsiders seems to be their own.
Naqvi while talking to the elderly said I have come to share the joy of Eid with you as it is our responsibility to take care of the elders like you.
The Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister also ordered the registration of all senior citizens residing in Aafiat in the Benazir Income Support Program and also directed to conduct regular medical check-up of the senior citizens.
Mohsin Naqvi also met former columnist Athar Zameer based in Aafiat and assured him to solve his issues.
Later, Mohsin Naqvi also inspected the dining room of the elderly and issued instructions to the Provincial Information Minister Aamir Mir and DGPR Rubina Afzal on the spot regarding improvements.
Provincial Ministers Azfar Ali Nasir, Amir Mir, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Rafia Haider, DGPR and officials of Social Welfare Department were also present on the occasion.
