Govt employees to get pay, pension before Eid

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal government on Wednesday decided to pay salaries for the current month to the employees of public sector departments before religious festival Eid-ul-Fitr.
The decision was taken in a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
Later, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb announced payment of salaries in her tweet. She wrote that the prime minister directed the finance minister on Wednesday to pay salaries and pension before Eid. And the finance minister ordered immediate compliance to the prime minister’s directive.

Finance Minister Dar directed the finance secretary to arrange payment of salaries.
The Sindh government has already announced payment of pay and pension before Eid.
"...full pay and allowances/full pension for the month of April, shall be paid in advance to all Muslim employees/pensioners of Provincial Government of Sindh (including work-charged and contingent paid establishment)," a notification from the finance department read.
The salaries and pensions will be released on April 17 instead of May 2, the notification added, noting that Eid is expected to fall on either April 21 or April 22.
