Haider Abbas Rizvi of MQM has called for investigation into confessions made by Zulfiqar Mirza.

Talking to the media outside the Parliament House, Rizvi again disowned the purported letter mentioned by Mirza. Rizvi said that the MQM has nothing to do with that letter as it was fabricated to malign the party.He said Mirza confessed to killing Rehman Baloch, and it was a must to incriminate him. Furthermore, he said, there was no record of arms licenses issued when Mirza was home minister of the province.He earlier underlined the need for all sections of society to come forward and help the flood affected people generously. He said Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation of the MQM was doing all it can for flood relief.Rizvi said that the Karachi operation is being led by the Rangers as had been the demand of the MQM. He said the MQM calls for indiscriminate action and action. “If there are criminal elements in any party, including the MQM, we want action against them,” he added.The MQM leader said that the courts should convict criminals strictly in order the curb the tendency.
