Blackout disrupts cellular services in various parts of country
LAHORE (Web Desk) – A massive power breakdown on Monday disrupted cellular services of telecommunication companies in various parts of the country.
The electricity supply is unavailable to people in various cities of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab since 7:34am today when transmission lines between Jamshoro and Dadu developed technical faults.
Taking to social media platforms, users have complained of receiving no or weak signals on their mobile phones as the electricity could not be restored for the last eight hours. The cellular companies are yet to confirm the disruption in services.
The blackout has also affected operations at hospitals, courts and government offices.

Meanwhile, Energy Minister Khurram Dastagir said it was not a major fault and the power supply across the country would be restored within 12 hours.
