National Youth Council aimed at engaging youth in policy making: Sheeza Fatima
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister Sheeza Fatima Khawaja said on Thursday the purpose of establishing National Youth Council was to engage youth in policy making and Green Youth Movement clubs were established in 138 universities across the country under this program.
At a meeting with Coordinator German climate and energy partnership Christopher Frenzel, she said one of the sections of the council was working on climate change adding the issue of climate change could not be addressed without mobilizing the youth. Green Youth Movement was aimed at making youth aware of the effects of climate change. Pakistan was, she said, interested in partnering with Germany to address the issue of climate change.
