SIALKOT (Dunya News) - Goods and machinery worth millions were destroyed in a major fire that broke out at a leather factory situated at the Wazirabad Road in Sialkot in the wee hours of Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the fire broke out on the first floor of the factory where a huge quantity of raw material was stored. At least 10 fire brigade vehicles and a water bowser reached the spot and brought the fire under control in two hours.
Fire brigade officials said that short-circuit could be the cause of fire, but the exact cause could be ascertained only after a thorough investigation.
According to rescue sources, no casualty was reported in the incident. However, goods and machinery worth millions of rupees were reduced to ashes by the fire.
