Speaking to workers in Bahadurabad, he said a decisive phase in the efforts to unite the muhajirs had kicked off and the doors of MQMP was open for all.

The MQMP leader went to say his party wanted early elections but not elections based on fake census and fabricated voters and for this reason protest would be conducted on January nine to urge for a new census, voters list and rights of the muhajirs.

He said the muhajirs knew their appropriate place was in the MQM and those who were not in this party were against the interests of muhajirs.

Mr Maqbool added the MQMP would not backtrack from efforts to improve the lives of middle class and there would be no compromise over the identity of the party, while mentioning that they had supported the views of the poor and sidelined segments of Karachi.

He further said various members of MQMP were forced to leave the party and many a times operations were used against us however the party still had its presence.

The MQMP leader went to say that any party would have disappeared if it had been mistreated like MQMP, and thanked the people who came in large numbers.

At last, he mentioned the struggle of the supporters of the party for safeguarding its identity and because of the unity of MQMP, the party was still playing its role and making efforts for improving the lives of the people.
