Heavy fog disrupts traffic on Motorways
LAHORE ( Dunya News ) – As winter sets in, the fog has affected traffic on motorways.
Due to heavy fog, various motorways were closed. According to the spokesperson of Motorways Syed Imran Ahmed, the closed motorways were M-2 ( from Lahore to Hiranminar ), Lahore-Multan motorway ( from Faizpur to Nankana ) and no vehicle was allowed on the Lahore-Sialkot motorway.
According to the spokesperson, the motorways were closed to secure the lives of people. Meanwhile, the motorway police have issued a travel advisory for road users to avoid unimportant travel, abstain from over-speeding and keep a suitable distance from other vehicles.
The spokesperson also advised citizens could call on the helpline 130 in case of any emergency situation.
