Constitution grants equal rights to all minorities, says PM Shehbaz
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday the constitution of Pakistan grants equal rights to all minorities.
Addressing a Christmas ceremony, he said he had deep respect for Pakistan’s Christian community as they have contributed to country’s development and sacrificed their lives for the country. “The community’s services for country’s defence are also commendable”, he added.
He said he was deeply saddened by some untoward incidents the community had to face in the past adding the National Minority Commission would be enacted into law soon as its draft was ready.
