Orange and Green Line to be integrated in Karachi says Sharjeel

(Web Desk) – The Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon informed that the government will connect the recently opened Orange Bus Rapid Transit Service (BRTS) with the Green Line BRTS so that it becomes a financially viable mass transit service in Karachi.

The province minister responded by making the comment “The opposition member brought up the financial sustainability of the Orange Line service, which connects Orangi with the Matric Board Office crossroads and began operating in September of this year.”

According to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) legislator, Ali Khursheedi, The Orange Line project was operating on an undesirable path, which is why it failed to draw the residents of Orangi Town.

As per the original design, the Orange Line service had to be connected with the BRTS s Green Line division, according to Sindh s transport minister. He said that the federally overseen Sindh Infrastructure Development Company had been given instructions to fully link the Orange Line with the Green Line.

Mr Memon stated that initiatives were being made to upgrade public transportation options in Karachi and other major areas of the province. He predicted that the public will soon see revolutionary changes.
