PM directs DISCOs and gas companies to improve bill recovery mechanism
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed the electricity and gas distribution companies to improve their bill recovery mechanism in a bid to alleviate circular debt.
At a meeting chaired by the PM, he said the government would curb the circular debt with consistent efforts and effective strategy adding all the steps must be taken in order to increase receivables while putting no burden on the consumers. The PM also directed to contain electricity and gas theft.
