Oil supply to start from Russia in March, says Musadik Malik
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – State Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik on Friday said that they requested Russia for the supply of crude oil, petrol, LNG on a discounted rate and timeline for the supply can be provided after a week as they intend to start the supply from March 2023.
Musadik Malik while talking on Dunya Televisions’ program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath” said, “We are trying our best to get oil from Russia, cheaper than rest of the world. He said Russian minister will visit Pakistan in the second week of January.” “We have established a cell in our ministry for this purpose, and we would have completed the work before Russian minister’s arrival,” he added.
The minister further said that they have requested Russian government to give them additional discount as compared to rest of the world.
Mr Malik added, “Every year a decline of 9 to 10 per cent is observed in gas resources and it is our utmost priority to relieve the consumers by managing it in an organized way.”
Minister of Petroleum mentioned that Azerbaijan would also provide one LNG cargo every month, although the country offered a cargo at a reasonable rate in the past but it was not possible to accept it since 2 cargos were already installed.
