CTD foils major terror bid in Sahiwal, arrests two terrorists

SAHIWAL (Dunya News) - Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) foils a major terror bid and arrested two terrorists of a banned outfit during an operation in Sahiwal on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to CTD spokesperson, the arrested terrorists have been identified as Muneeb Anwar and Usama Bin Umar who were planning to carry out terrorist activities in the city.
The CTD spokesperson also informed that the arrested terrorists belonged to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and residents of Mianwali.
The CTD personnel also recovered arms, explosive material, batteries and other material from them. The arrested terrorists were later shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
