Two killed, 15 injured in blaze at paper mills in Kasur

11 fire brigade vehicles and 55 fire fighters are busy in operation to bring the fire under control.

KASUR (Dunya News) – At least two persons were killed and 15 other sustained burn injuries when fire erupted in Bulleh Shah Paper Mills in Kasur on Wednesday, Dunya News reported. The dead and injured have been shifted to hospital.

The fire which broke out and 4:00pm on Wednesday is still raging with full intensity after passage of more than 13 hours. According to sources, 11 fire brigade vehicles and 55 fire fighters are busy in operation to bring the fire under control.





Fire brigade and rescue teams from Lahore and Okara have also been called in to participate in operation to douse the fire.

DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan also visited the site and reviewed the arrangements and rescue operation. He said that it may take two days to bring the fire under control which has spread to a vast shed of the paper mills.
