ATC sentences accused of terrorism cases to 12 times death
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday has sentenced the accused involved in five terrorism cases to 12 times death and life imprisonment.
The special ATC in Rawalpindi sentenced three accused to death 12 times and life imprisonment 32 times while the accused who were found guilty of committing other crimes were also sentenced to life imprisonment of 384 years. The ATC also ordered to pay a fine of Rs34.05 million and compensation of Rs1.88 million to the heirs of the accused.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused were involved in blasts at Adiala Road, Check Post, Pirudhai Chung Chi Rickshaw.
The accused were also involved in blasts at Saddar Haider Road and Kabaddi Bazaar.
The cases against the accused Shabbir Ahmed, Bilal Ahmed and Dawood were registered by the CTD police station.
