LHC declares River Ravi Project as null and void
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday has declared River Ravi Project as null and void.
During the hearing, the court while announcing its judgment accepted the pleas against the project and ordered to immediately stop work on it.
Justice Shahid Karim has directed to return Rs5 billion loan taken for the construction of the project.
Earlier, LHC judge Justice Shahid Karim had termed petitions against Ravi River Urban Project as admissible.
During the proceedings, the judge turned down the plea of the government and remarked that the high court can hear the appeals against the project.
