ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf on Friday has said that the National Security Policy is a consensus umbrella document to provide guidance on every dimension of national security.
While addressing the launching ceremony of National Security Policy, the adviser said the comprehensive document has been prepared with input from all the relevant federal government departments, provincial governments and experts.
He said economic security has been defined in the policy, whose ultimate purpose is safety, security, dignity and prosperity of citizens.
Moeed Yusuf said the policy focuses on good governance, education, geo-economics and human security. He said an implementation framework has also been prepared to ensure execution of the document.
It is pertinent to mention here that the main sections of the document included National Security Framework, National Cohesion, Securing Our Economic Future, Defence and Territorial Integrity, Internal Security, Foreign Policy in a Changing World and Human Security.
