New local bodies system in Islamabad challenged in IHC

The court has sought replies from Interior Secretary and Law Secretary till January 11.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The new local bodies ordinance in federal capital Islamabad has been challenged in Islamabad High Court (IHC) today (Wednesday).
During the hearing, the court has issued notice to President of Pakistan, Interior Secretary and Law Secretary. The plaintiff said that it is unlawful to hire mayor directly and dissolve the post of deputy mayor.
Subsequently, the court has sought replies from Interior Secretary and Law Secretary till January 11.
