Pakistan reports 353 coronavirus cases, 7 deaths in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 7 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,293,081. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,905 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 353 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,062 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,661 in Sindh 5,921 in KP, 966 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 480,288 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,496 in Punjab 181,167 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,425 in Islamabad, 34,655 in Azad Kashmir 33,621 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 23,096,757 coronavirus tests and 48,148 in the last 24 hours. 1,254,413 patients have recovered in the country whereas 624 patients are in critical condition.


Positivity Ratio


The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.73 percent.


Vaccine Statistics


So far, 90,529,877 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 737,763 in last 24 hours. 63,382,390 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 834,837 received their second dose in last 24 hours.

The number of total administered doses has reached to 145,453,360 with 1,385,125 in the last 24 hours.
