KARACHI (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday sentenced five accused to back-to-back life imprisonment in case pertaining to murder of renowned rights activist Perween Rahman.
The ATC ruled announced verdict in case pertaining to murder of renowned rights activist and Orangi Pilot Project director Perween Rahman after eight years.
The court sentenced the five accused to back-to-back life imprisonment. The accused Rahim Swati, Amjad Afridi, Imran Swati, Ayaz Shamzi and Pappu Kashmiri will have to serve a total sentence of 58 years each after they were found guilty of her murder.
The accused have also been fined Rs 300,000 each.
The accused shot and killed Orangi Pilot Project Director Parveen Rehman in 2013. The case was registered by Orangi Town Police.
