Firing at PML-N election office in Khanewal injures one

The injured received five bullet wounds on his legs and arms and was taken to District Hospital.

KHANEWAL (Dunya News) – Some unidentified persons entered the election office of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) situated at the Lahore More in Khanewal and opened indiscriminate firing and injured a PML-N councilor, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

According to details, PML-N councilor Shahid Rafiq was present at the election office in connection with the election campaign when some unidentified persons opened fire.

Shahid Rafiq received five bullet wounds on his legs and arms. He was immediately taken to District Hospital. A large number of PML-N workers also reached the hospital after the incident.

A large contingent of police, along with DSP Saddar, also arrived at the hospital and started investigation. It is pertinent to mention here that by-election on Punjab Assembly constituency PP-206 are scheduled to be held on December 16.
