Pakistan reports 2,988 COVID-19 cases, lowest since late July

Pakistan has so far conducted 18,521,728 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 67 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,207,508. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 26,787 on Monday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,988 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 12,211 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,133 in Sindh 5,250 in KP, 887 in Islamabad, 718 in Azad Kashmir, 342 in Balochistan, and 179 in GB.

Furthermore 445,369 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 414,390 in Punjab 168,748 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 102,863 in Islamabad, 33,379 in Azad Kashmir, 32,591 in Balochistan and 10,168 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 18,521,728 coronavirus tests and 53,158 in the last 24 hours. 1,090,176 patients have recovered in the country whereas 5,066 patients are in critical condition.
