Cantonment Boards Elections: Scuffle breaks out at Multan's ward number 4
The brawl badly affected the polling process in the area.
MULTAN (Dunya News) – A scuffle on Sunday broke out at Multan’s ward number 4 during polling of Cantonment Boards Elections.
According to details, the clash erupted after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) male workers tried to enter the female polling station.
The brawl badly affected the polling process in the area.
On the other hand, returning officer in Karachi carried out an action and arrested two fake polling agents from ward 4. The suspects were present inside the women polling station without authentic documents.
It is to be mentioned here that voting for the elections in 41 cantonment boards across Pakistan is underway today (Sunday) with 1,560 candidates contesting in 206 wards.
The polling began at 8:00 am in the morning and will conclude at 5:00 p.m in the evening.
219 wards have been formed in 42 cantonment boards across the country, and voting is being held on only 203 seats, while elections have been postponed for 6 seats.
