Interior minister starts monitoring to eradicate terrorism, sectarianism
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has started monitoring the measures taken to eradicate terrorism, extremism and sectarianism.
According to the sources, the interior minister visited various provinces under the National Action Plan (NAP) on the matter of maintaining law and order in the country.
The federal minister left for Karachi on a two-day visit. During the Karachi visit, he will review the implementation of decisions under the NAP. He will also review the overall law and order situation in the province.
The sources said that the Rangers and other federal departments will brief the interior minister on law and order situation in Sindh including Karachi.
Meanwhile, the approval was given for setting up Secretariat of the NAP and disaster information cell this week.
