Pakistan reports 4,103 coronavirus cases, 89 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 17,871,620 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 89 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,167,791. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 25,978 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,103 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,959 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,924 in Sindh, 5,015 in KP, 866 in Islamabad, 702 in Azad Kashmir, 339 in Balochistan, and 173 in GB.

Furthermore 433,931 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 396,326 in Punjab, 163,010 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 99,910 in Islamabad, 32,380 in Azad Kashmir, 32,248 in Balochistan and 9,952 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 17,871,620 coronavirus tests and 61,651 in the last 24 hours. 1,048,872 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,717 patients are in critical condition.
