Pakistan has so far conducted 17,809,969 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 101 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,163,688. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 25,889 on Wednesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,559 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,915 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,910 in Sindh, 4,988 in KP, 866 in Islamabad, 698 in Azad Kashmir, 339 in Balochistan, and 173 in GB.

Furthermore 432,637 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 394,738 in Punjab, 162,402 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 99,516 in Islamabad, 32,248 in Balochistan, 32,228 in Azad Kashmir and 9,919 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 17,809,969 coronavirus tests and 53,637 in the last 24 hours. 1,043,898 patients have recovered in the country whereas 5,690 patients are in critical condition.
