The NAB chairman said the Bureau is fulfilling its national duty to eradicate corruption

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Friday said that the anti-graft watchdog is Pakistan s focal institution under the United Nations Anti-Corruption Agency.

In a statement issued on Friday, he said that the anti-graft agency has recovered Rs 822 billion from corrupt elements since its inception and deposited in national exchequer which is a record achievement.

The NAB chairman said that the Bureau is fulfilling its national duty to eradicate corruption from the country, adding that the watchdog is committed to a corruption-free Pakistan.

“The aim of the NAB is to eradicate corruption and recover money from corrupt elements,” he added.
