Power shortfall reaches 4,653MW

Electricity load shedding duration reached at 8-10 hours in urban and 12-14 hours in rural areas.

According to PEPCO officials, power demand in the country remained at 17,882WM, while production was 13,229MW. The country is getting 5,102MW electricity from Hydel resources, 1,894 from Thermal resources, 6,029MW from IPPs and 204MW from rental power plants.Electricity shortfall has been reduced by 200MW due to demand.
