Pakistan has so far conducted 16,794,167 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 73 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,094,699. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 24,339 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,786 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,329 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,384 in Sindh, 4,640 in KP, 830 in Islamabad, 662 in Azad Kashmir, 332 in Balochistan, and 162 in GB.

Furthermore 409,578 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 370,599 in Punjab, 151,466 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 93,339 in Islamabad, 31,507 in Balochistan, 28,982 in Azad Kashmir and 9,228 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 16,794,167 coronavirus tests and 59,136 in the last 24 hours 983,754 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,729 patients are in critical condition.
