Pakistan passes grim milestone of 24,000 deaths from Covid-19

Pakistan has so far conducted 16,551,440 coronavirus tests.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 86 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,075,504. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 24,004 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,884 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 11,239 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 6,235 in Sindh, 4,570 in KP, 821 in Islamabad, 650 in Azad Kashmir, 332 in Balochistan, and 157 in GB.

Furthermore 401,790 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 365,824 in Punjab, 149,056 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 91,217 in Islamabad, 31,234 in Balochistan, 27,507 in Azad Kashmir and 8,876 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 16,551,440 coronavirus tests and 49,506 in the last 24 hours 967,073 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,530 patients are in critical condition.
